all the writing advice i've ever heard tells us to write what we know. you know a lot, especially about animals and nature and god and struggle and women and ....
you could try starting with a freewrite, a la natalie goldberg -- just keep your hand moving on the page and see where your brain/heart takes you.

I enjoy hearing about the farm life but I also enjoy when you share about people you've encountered
It's hard isn't it to know what to share and what to keep in the closed pages of the journal?
