CGM- I'm jealous! Mendocino is one my favorite coastal towns. I have memories of a week I spent there that will be forever etched on my soul. It was a stormy, winter week during a year when there were record rains at high tide. The surf was spectacular and the skies were ominous and gloomy the whole time I was there. I stayed in a mobile home right next to a cove north of Mendocino about 15 minutes. I left the window in the room where I slept cracked just enough to hear the surf as I drifted off to sleep each night. A fabulous trip!
i clicked into your flickr. love the deep blue of the dusk photos! wow! and the fog, too.
i have been to mendo in the rain, but not during their famed spectacular winter storms. it's on my list of things to do in the next five years. we'll be staying at a place this spring break that's about smack in between mendo and ft. bragg. i had my first full-blown, hour-long massage in mendo. i can see we share similar feelings about the area. :-)
